Bid to Drive Change: CASFV’s 24-Hour Silent Auction

This year, our Silent Auction has a name and a mission.

Bid to Drive Change is more than an evening of great items and friendly competition. It’s a community-wide effort to solve a real, everyday problem faced by the families in our shelter program — with a special focus on the children who need it most. Right now, CASFV relies on limited transportation resources to shuttle families to and from our shelter. For a family that has just come from a crisis situation, something as simple as a safe, dependable ride can mean the difference between stability and further disruption. For a child in particular, it can mean making it to school on time, arriving at a medical appointment, or simply getting back to a place that feels safe.

That’s why every item up for bid this year is helping fund something bigger than itself: a new agency vehicle dedicated to transporting families, especially children, to and from our shelter. This vehicle will allow our staff to respond quickly and consistently, giving children and their families one less thing to worry about during an already difficult time in their lives.

We’re proud to share that we’re already halfway to our funding goal — and we know our community can help us cover the rest.

How It Works

Our Silent Auction will run for a full 24 hours, giving everyone in our community the chance to participate no matter their schedule.

• Bidding will be available online, so you can place a bid from home, work, or on the go.
